My effort at making a social change
It is my penchant for human rights that led me to reach out for a volunteer opportunity with Fibrent. For someone who holds a strong sense of justice my inability to find the right way to act upon social conflicts always frustrated me. Working with the marketing team of Fibrent gives me the possibility to observe and understand how we can moderate and take action in a suitable way to make an impact in our society. Prior to my work, I visited the project base in Thiruvalla, met with a few members of the women force behind this and saw the direction in which Fibrent slowly took its identity. I strongly believe in the ideals that Fibrent holds high, whether it be women empowerment or climate action or sustainable living, its success will be a highly relevant step that will hold an impact. Therefore, this volunteer opportunity is simply more than me giving a helping hand. I am the one at a receiving end with a perspective-changing experience.
